Feel-good snowflake environmentalists…
Truly have no clue just how necessary the oil & gas industry is to global commerce.
They often miss the obvious!
(But I’m getting ahead of myself — and the punchline is reserved for the 4-min video attached to this post).
First… here is Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, in Taylor Sheridan's new TV series, Landman:
"The oil & gas industry makes $3 Billion/per day in pure profit. It generates over $4.3 trillion/per year in revenue. It's the 7th largest industry in the world.
It's ranked above food production and automobile production. And the $1.4 trillion pharmaceutical industry doesn't even crack the top ten.
"The industries listed ahead of oil & gas are completely dependent on oil & gas. The more they grow, the more we grow. That's the scale! That's the size of this thing. And it's only getting bigger!"
