Q&A #6: How to manage Bitcoin; hacking reality; and Forrest Gump, the football star philosopher!
Questions (Q) & Conversation (C) With the Master Grizzly
This is a compendium of my latest conversations & dialogue with colleagues, friends, and email subscribers.
Q: Now that BTC is above $40k, will I overpay for it? Should I buy?
- From subscriber, Richard S.
A: If you’ve read my full answer to Q&A #5, then you already know I don’t view BTC as an investment, as much as I do conveniently-liquid “online money.” No matter what the price is, it just makes sense, as a sound money-management practice, to dollar-cost-average into it, in whatever fiat-to-btc schedule you can handle.
Then, from there (i.e., once it’s in the crypto wallets of your choice), decide what percentage of your overall Bitcoin holdings you want to HODL (Hold on for Dear Life)… and which percentage you want to be LIQUID (used for purchases, like a checking account).
For the former, holding as long-term savings, I’d only put that amount into a non-custodial hardware wallet, such as the set-up I speaketh of HERE.
For the latter, using it as “cash,” you can get away with managing it in a custodial online wallet; say, at a platform such as CoinBase or Uphold.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions about any of this.
Q: I read on your Projects page that in the mid-2000’s, you ran Manifest Life and the Masters of the Secret websites. I practice intentional creation, myself. Do you still? Have a unique secret for me? ;)
This observation / question was sent in by a non-subscriber; a gal named Lidia J. who happened upon my main website, barrygoss.com
A: Hi Lidia, nice to e-meet you. ;) So, yes, while I give just an overview HERE on my Projects page, that certainly doesn’t dive into my own personal experiences and perspectives of utilizing the art & science of “manifestation.”
Students of, say, The Secret have been taught that it’s about focusing on what you want and believing that it will come to you. Some people use techniques like visualization, affirmations, and gratitude to help them “manifest” stuff.
But, if I could be assured to the success of utilizing any one tactic, or “secret,” it would, without question, be to understand this universal truth / flow:
In my own experiences with hacking-reality — or, the intimate art of manifesting my desires through intentional energy-creation — the above image nutshells it in the most pure, bare-bones way.
We, our own ego, lives in our consciousness. Without being conscious, of course, there is no world / no reality to create. Therefore, while alive, what if we truly had the raw god-given gift to THRIVE… by simply immersing ourselves in the feeling of any desire / goal / situation we want to experience?
In the words of Min Pak, "feeling is the language of god!" As Mike Dooley's The Universe once told me, "And the more you think ANY thoughts, right or wrong, good or bad, especially when you FEEL them (as you think them), the closer they get to becoming 'THINGS'."
In the coming weeks, I’ll be re-publishing excerpts (for Pro subscribers) of some of my most-cherished recorded conversations with the manifesting mentors I rounded up between 2005 and 2010.
Until then…
If you want to learn more about this, I highly recommend this 5-Step Manifesting Cheat Sheet. The universe itself is nothing but a form of consciousness. Isn’t it about time that, you too, tap into it by unlocking greater happiness, wealth, success & love?
Q: Is Forrest Gump still on the team?
In response to me writing “Two words for ya, Timmy: "Rooooolll Tide!" 💥🏆 on this post, this rhetorical question was asked by a fellow Substacker, Timothy Taes, a self-described “old red neck hippie from Nebraska.”
A: His animal spirit, baaaaaaaaby, lives deep within Bama's psyche. So, in short, u betcha, Sir Timmy.
To explore that further, for those unaware, first the Bama I’m referring to is The University of Alabama, Crimson Tide. They, again, have been picked to participate in college footballs version of, well, the Final Four (ref: March Madness); aka the College Football Playoff (CFP).
Nick Saben’s team has been there seven times since the system was implemented in 2014. And, under his leadership, they’ve earned six national championships in 2009, 2011, 2012, and the reconfigured College Football Playoff championships in 2015, 2017, and 2020.
In ref to this year, from ESPN:
"Michigan will face Alabama in the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Prudential, while Washington will play Texas in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Both semifinal games will be played on New Year's Day and aired on ESPN."
Now, let’s bring in the Gumpster:
And, if you want to dive a bit deep — err, well as deep as you can get with “the local town idiot” — be sure to read my short post here:
