Yes Jacksonville is where the morel hot spots seem to be in the early part of morel season. They still might be flourishing even 10 days later? Would like to see what "tons of morels look like. Would love to have a chance at morel gold.
It may be some at higher elevations, at this time in April. Typically, on the property (lower elevation), they start to disappear now. Anyway, let's catch up again over coffee, soon.
Went out looking for morels on Wednesday--nada. Will look again on Monday. Pickleball today. Broadway Dance on Tuesday. It all helps with my spirits as we head into the months of uncertainty, likely higher gas prices and never ending witchhunt of Donald Trump and the continuous smear of RFK Jr.
Btw, about 10 days ago...there were tons of morels on my gals property above Jacksonville. Don't know if there's any left. Next season though, you can go up there and have first dibs if you want.
