Today, a friend needs to hear this!
A Valentine's Day reminder; an uplifting pep talk... whatever you need to label it in order to STOP 'playing it safe' in life! You are seen. You are heard. You are ab-so-lute-ly AMAZING!
đď¸: First, a reminder that my latest âWEEKEND WHATSâ roundup was published on Sunday. Give it a look hereâŚ
Now, onward to the subject of this postâŚ
This isnât necessarily directed at you, personally.
However, dollars to donuts⌠thereâs a friend (or loved one)⌠in YOUR life⌠who needs to see and hear the video I am prefacing below.
If so, pass it onâŚ
It can be a crazy world out there at times â a world driven by crowd-thinking, political correctness, and philosophical nonsense that is bombarding you to âfit in.â
If itâs not fringe conservative religious groups trying to regulate and control morality, itâs human rights activists going overboard to the point of trumping common sense.
Because of time-worn social norms, meddling governmental regulations, protectionist mindsets and victim-driven thinking, itâs NOT easy to fight the peer pressure to fit into a mold that isnât YOU.
đ¤ Is the world missing the real you because youâve been conditioned to play it safe?
Thatâs not something I need to expand on any more than⌠just asking THAT question.
Because, hereâs something you can do to find out:
LISTEN to the song, from 3 Doors Down, via the video below. Close your eyes (you really donât need to watch the Shrek clips, as itâs not the images that really matter). Feel the energy of the words. And, when listening to the song, in a quiet place, just ask yourself:
âIs it okay that I fight to âbe myselfâ, even if others donât approve?â
Only you can really know for sure.
Let me know what you think about todayâs post or, at least, how youâve personally conquered being yourselfâŚ. By commenting below:
Some fodder to help...
- Who would you be if you truly believed that what anyone else thinks is irrelevant?
- What are your core personal values?
- If money were no obstacle, how would you live your life differently?
- Who are your support people?
- What are you most worried about? (and why?)
