There I was... about 3 months ago... Sitting in my Naturopath’s office...
Complaining about….
Of all things (at my age, 54)… not being able to recover from 3 workouts per week.
That’s right — only 3 moderately-intense strength-training / free weight workouts a week, and last fall I just couldn’t figure out what was causing my sluggishness, my depletion, between each one… while never being able to recover in time for the next workout.
Naturopath Guru: “Your blood tests look good.”
Me: So, now what?
Naturopath Guru: “Well, I already know you’re not going to do intense workouts, say like High-intensity interval training (HIIT). That would most likely activate an enzyme that helps produce an incredibly-important molecule vital to cellular repair and rejuvenation…. Fast!”
Me: Don’t keep me in suspense. What’s the molecule?
